Collegiate Licensing Company, IMG, and Universities Have Joined Forces to Provide College Students With an Educational Experience During the Tenth Season of New York Fashion Week

February 13, 2023

Collegiate Licensing Company, the leading college licensing company, partnered with IMG to present the tenth UofNYFW program during New York Fashion Week. This educational initiative involved 30 students from 18 universities, providing them with unique insights into the fashion industry. The program included access to runway shows, panel discussions, and networking opportunities with industry figures.

Students attended notable events such as a runway show featuring Korean designer Son Jung Wan's work, an exclusive preview of Tiffany Brown Design's latest collection, and interaction with designer Ella Emhoff at the "Likes to Knit!" Pop-Up Showroom. They also had a Q&A session with IMG representatives and a backstage tour of a fashion show at Spring Studios.

Additionally, students visited Champion, a prominent athletic fashion brand, for hands-on training in clothing line development and merchandising. Faculty and staff from participating universities had a special track for knowledge exchange.

All program expenses were covered by the universities. This initiative involved 18 universities, including Clemson, Liberty, Michigan State, and others. Students documented their experiences with #UofNYFW and shared their insights upon returning to campus.
