Collegiate Licensing Company Partners with Indiana University for Licensing

For the first time, Indiana University will have an external licensing agency, and that agency will be the Collegiate Licensing Company. The partnership aims to bring new product and brand touchpoints to Indiana fans.

Indiana University President Pamela Whitten has made student experience and university programs top priorities, and the licensing partnership plans to assist in each. Collegiate Licensing Company with Indiana University as partners will focus on new university branded products, innovative retail experiences, and brand activations, all while making the most out of value.

The partnership marks a major change for Indiana University as Indiana has previously managed their trademark licensing program in-house. Much went into the process, including, in-depth review of data, and a Task Force directed by Vianova, a firm focused on strategic advising.

About 300 licensed vendors curretly work with the Indiana University Trademark Licensing Program. These vendors manufacture the branded products that can be found at retailers nationwide. CLC Licensing reports having access to nearly 10,000 retailers and this access with help Indiana University form new key partners.

The Indiana University and Collegiate Licensing Company partnership starts on July 1, 2025.
