Collegiate Licensing Company Partners with Shippensburg Introducing New Athletic Logo

Shippensburg University, in collaboration with Collegiate Licensing Company, has unveiled a new look via a new athletics logo. The logo, an anchor, pays honor to Shippensburg Athletics while bringing the athletics department into the future.

As sometimes happens across other colleges and universities, the original Shippensburg Athletic logo was so popular, it was adopted by the university to become the main logo of the entire university. The new Shippensburg Athletics logo is unique and complimentary to the existing primary logo of the university.

The Raider Ship, the university’s main logo, was crreated to communicate a feeling of forward movement and strength as it navigates through water. That being the case, no ship can sail without having their anchor up.

Collegiate Licensing Company and Shippensburg University partnered on the design of the new logo. Collegiate Licensing Company is the licensing agency for Shippensburg as well as for over 800 universities and colleges..

Be on the lookout, the new anchor athletic logo will be introduced in phases as it is combined into all aspects of Shippensburg Athletics.
