Jerry Cohen, co-founder of Ebbets Field Flannel, is a native of Brooklyn, New York, and grew up close to Flatbush ballpark that provided the company name. Forever intrigued by team artwork and colors, Cohen would purchase large amounts of baseball cards just to view the hats and uniforms and the players styled in them.

The co-founder of Ebbets Field Flannels continued his passion for baseball into adulthood, in particular Cohen’s interest focused on baseball’s past and forgotten times. It was 1987 when he found a large piece of real woold baseball flannel, with this find, he had a handful of shirts created for himself. And naturally, Cohen was stopped on the street by strangers offering to buy the shirts from him, shortly after this epxerience Ebbets Field Flannel was created.
