A Crafters license is a license granted by a college or university to an individual that produces college branded items in small quantities. In other words, a crafters license is a when a college or university grants an individual permission to prodice and sell branded items in small quantity. An example would be an individual that handmakes candles that have the University of Alabama logo affixed to them, not only is the individual handmaking the candles, the individual is selling them as well, usually at local fairs or other small venues.

The answer is that almost anyone should be able to get a Crafter license. However, with most Crafter license programs that colleges and universities offer, there are strict guidelines that you must follow in order to qualify.
The number one guideline that most colleges and universities have is that you must be producing and selling items in small quantities or low volume. The schools measure the volume in either units sold or dollars earned per year.
For example, the school might restrict the individual to only selling 500 units of their item per year, while another school will set the restriction in another way in dollars earned, say $2,500 per year. That all being said, in order to secure a Crafters license for college logos you must be producing and selling your items in small quantities, if you go above the quantities set by the school, then most often you must apply for a Standard license which is a much more formal license that requires an extensive application process.
The second guideline that most colleges and universities have is that you must sell the product yourself, meaning you cannot sell you product to a retailer and act as a wholeseller. An example of acceptable selling would be at a local Craft Fair or some type of local event.
