Old Dominion University and Town Center Cold Pressed Partner to Create Monarch Morning Roast Coffee

Monarch Morning Coffee is an officially licensed creation of a local roastery, Town Center Cold Pressed, and Old Dominion University.
The new coffee is described as a dark roast with balance, combining Indonesian Sumatra and Colombian coffee beans. Experience notes of chocolate, almond and caramel. Overall the taste offers wide appeal.
Official launch or Morning Monarch Roast coffee is scheduled for April 3. Two Town Center locations will be offering bags of the coffee for sale, find it at their Virginia Beach location as well their Norfolk location. If your on campus, you can find bags of Monarch Morning Roast Coffee for sale at the bookstore. If you’re not in the local area, the coffee can be purchased online at Town Center’s website.
Brian Eubank, Old Dominion University’s Exectuve Director of Trademark Licensing represented the university in the partnership with Town Center Cold Pressed.
Monarch Morning Roast Coffee is the latest offering in an extensive list of other consumable items that Old Domionion has licesed, those consumables include, the Big Blue Smash Burger from Ghost Kitchen, Old Dominion Golden Ale beer, Big Blue Q and Big Blue Belly Rub from the Dirty BUffalo, and Lolly’s Ice Cream and Cake flavor.
Old Dominion University’s licensed consumables category has been a success, since 2023 the category has generated more than $17,000 in licensing revenue and over $443,000 in retail sales. The Monarch Morning Roast Coffee is sure to add to this total in the coming months and years. Royalties generated fund student scholarships.
