Penn State Trademark Licensing
The Penn State Office of Licensing and Visual Identity Programs protects and elevates the Penn State brand. It sets licensing rules and visual identity standards so trademarks, logos, and other marks are used with consistency and integrity across the University Park campus and all commonwealth campuses.
Its purpose is to honor Penn State’s values and reputation while controlling commercial and campus use of university marks. Anyone on or off campus who wants to use Penn State names or logos on products needs written approval before production. Merchandise must be made by a licensed vendor. CLC administers most commercial license applications for Penn State.
