Rhody Ram IPA has the Highest Alcohol Percentage of any Officially Licensed College Beer

The Rhody Ram IPA, the officially licensed beer of the University of Rhode Island has the highest ABV of all the officially licensed beers currently on the market.

This data was published to the Collegiate Licensing World X account, fans of the University of Rhode Island seemed to take pride in having the highest alcohol level, with one fan commenting, “this makes me proud to be an Alum.” While another posted, “URI Number 1.”

Other officially licensed collegiate beers with higher than average alcohol levels include the following:

• Gunrock Hazy IPA, the officially licensed beer of UC Davis has an ABV of 6.3%

• Cyclones IPA, the officially licensed beer of Iowa State University has an ABV of 6.0%

• Clone Fest, the officially licensed beer of Iowa State University has an ABV of 5.6%

• Bulldog, the officially licensed beer of Drake University has an ABV of 5.6%

• Alma Mater, the officially licensed beer of Luther College has an ABV of 5.4%
