Texas A&M Trademark Licensing

The Texas A&M Office of Business Development promotes and protects the Texas A&M brand by regulating use of the university’s trademarks, names, and logos. Texas A&M prohibits use of its registered symbols, insignia, and other identifying marks without express written approval. That includes the university name, abbreviations, emblems, logos, mascot, slogans, uniforms, landmarks, and songs.

Its purpose is to keep commercial and campus use of Aggie marks consistent and authorized. Unauthorized production or sale of branded products can violate federal and Texas trademark law.

Anyone who wants to make or sell items with Texas A&M marks needs written permission through the licensing program.
