University of Missouri Trademark Licensing
Mizzou Licensing and Brand Management protects and promotes the University of Missouri’s marks, names, and logos. The office monitors commercial and campus use of those trademarks and manages more than 400 licensees.
Its purpose is to protect Mizzou’s identity and strengthen the university’s image. Anyone who wants to put MU names or logos on a product must get a license before selling it.
Companies apply through Affinity Licensing. Official products should carry an officially licensed collegiate label or hologram.
