What was the best selling collegiate licensed product in 2025? This question is actually not easily answered as data about collegiate product sales is held in private by the various licensing agencies that represent the nation’s colleges and universities. However, using data that we know to be true, we can make a strong estimation of which collegiate licensed item sold the best in 2025.

What we know to be true is that the University of Texas in 2012 was the top selling university, and since 2012 the University of Texas has not slowed in its achievments that would keep licensing revenue rolling in. If we take a look at the 2025 Collegiate Licensing Royalty Rankings we can see that the Texas Longhorns are estimated to be at the top of the list with football achievements and strong social media presence being their main drivers. To find the collegiate licensed item that earned the most revenue in 2025 we need to locate an item that sold a lot of units but also sold at a high price point. For comparison, this item sells in a lower quantity than a mass appeal t-shirt and has a higher price point. Again reviewing the University of Texas Fanatics web page, we see the Arch Manning Football jersey in the #1 spot, however, again, we doubt this was this item, despite its high price point, earned the most revenue, reason being, we don't feel this item had enough appeal as not everyone wants to wear a Football jersey. The officially licensed collegiate product that earned the most revenue in 2025 could be the item being displayed right next to the Arch Manning jersey, the Colosseum Texas Longhorns Blackout 3.0 Pullover Hoodie. The hoodie meets the criteria for an item earning a high amount of revenue, an item with mass appeal that sells for a higher retail price, in this case, $35.99 to $59.99.
